Virtu uses an Automated Employment Decision Tool (AEDT) as part of our candidate screening.
What is an AEDT? An AEDT is a computational tool that uses machine learning, statistical modeling, data analytics, or artificial intelligence to evaluate candidates for employment decisions, including hiring and promotion.
How We Use This Tool
Virtu currently uses AEDT for certain open roles to review candidates’ resumés in the first stage of the recruitment process. The AEDT reviews the contents of resumés and compares information against job-specific scoring criteria. The personal data used by the automated decision-making system is limited to the information provided in a candidate’s resumé.
Your Rights
To the extent provided by applicable law, you have the right to:
- Request an alternative selection process or reasonable accommodation
- Request further information about how the AEDT evaluates you

Data Collection and Retention
As part of your application process, we collect and analyze among the following types of information: work history, education, skills, certifications and internship experiences.
We collect this information from among other sources: submitted resumes, LinkedIn profiles, evaluations and interviews.
As a general matter, we retain the information for seven (7) years unless the applicable law mandates a shorter period.
