Ariam Mogos is a futurist fellow in the Stanford d.school K12 Lab, where she designs prototypes with K-12 educators around how to engage, evaluate, and create with emerging technologies, grounded in ethics and digital agency. She is currently working on a set of play-based analog resources focused on machine learning, blockchain, DNA data storage and IOT.
A constructivist educator passionate about computing, Ariam has worked at the intersection of education, technology, equity and play in the United States, Asia, Africa and Europe. Prior to the d.school, she was the Learning Lead for UNICEF’s Office of Innovation, designing global learning platforms, programs, and models for UNICEF’s 190 country offices. Ariam has also worked on education technology initiatives with the World Bank, LEGO Foundation, the Kenyan government, the U. S. Department of State and Global Kids. She especially enjoys working with young makers and facilitates creative learning experiences in local libraries and rec centers.
Virginia Gambale is a Managing Partner of Azimuth Partners
LLC, where she operates globally, as an advisor and consultant, focused on
growth and innovation strategies for technology and technology driven services
companies in both middle market and large corporations and advisor to startup
companies. She is highly regarded for her innovative thinking, leadership, and
ability to deliver results. Ms. Gambale has served on over 20 Public and
Private boards including: JetBlue, Motive, Piper Jaffray, Workbrain,
Synchronoss Technologies and IQ Financial, among others.
As a former senior operating executive of Global
Corporations, she held senior management positions (including CIO and Managing
Director) at: Merrill Lynch, Bankers Trust, Deutsche Bank and Marsh &
McLennan. Additionally, Ms. Gambale was the Head of Deutsche Bank Strategic
Ventures, and subsequently a General Partner at Deutsche Bank Capital until
founding Azimuth Partners in 2003. She is also an adjunct faculty member at
Columbia University and Mentor for Columbia University’s Masters in Technology
Leadership and is a frequent lecturer and keynote speaker on the strategic use
of emerging technologies. Ms. Gambale holds a B.S. from New York Institute of

Erin Stanton has 12+ years of experience in big data and data science and she currently runs the Global Client Support organization for Virtu Analytics. Erin is known for her big energy which she brings to everything she does and has been more recently championing potential machine learning and AI techniques to answer client questions.
Erin is also the co-head of Virtu’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee where she is personally dedicated to expanding women’s roles within technology and data science.
Erin received her undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Economics from Lehigh University and is expected to graduate with a Masters in Information and Data Science from UC Berkeley in May 2021.

Teresa Woodard is a vice president of T. Rowe Price Group, Inc. and the head of Trading Analytics. She leads a team of data analysts who deliver trading insights, including transaction costs analysis, to internal and external stakeholders. Teresa leads a global team and has been instrumental in enhancing T. Rowe Price’s quantitative, data driven evaluation of trading execution services across asset classes.
Teresa is the chair of the firm’s Equity and Fixed Income Best Execution subcommittees. She is also a member of the firm’s Black Leadership Council.
Director of Data Analytics SEI
Colleen Ruane is responsible for developing and
implementing the Investment Manager Services division’s data analytics
program. Colleen leads the data analytics team, which explores ways of
integrating analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) into
our platform. She also works with non-technical/non-analytical consumers of
data and helps them understand how to put analytics into practice.
Colleen has 15 years of experience with data analysis, risk analytics and system engineering. Prior to her role as Director of Data Analytics, Colleen worked for 10 years at ITG with roles in product management, analytical research and relationship management. She also worked for Lockheed Martin with their System Engineering team writing algorithms for large-scale scheduling and planning systems.
Colleen has a Bachelor of Science degree in Math from Loyola College, and a Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Katherine Chairez serves as Head of Execution Strategy for Harris Associates, where she is responsible for best execution initiatives across global equities with a focus on algorithmic trading, automation and strategy selection. Prior to joining Harris, Katherine headed Americas Equity Trading as well as Trading Strategy and Analytics for UBS Asset Management. Before that, she spent eleven years on the sell side with Citadel Securities and Goldman Sachs, where she specialized in algorithmic trading strategy. Katherine holds a Master of Science in Financial Engineering as well as a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research with a minor in Economics from Columbia University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science. In 2019, she was named to Crain’s Chicago Business’s 40 Under 40.

Sofia Giordano is a Trading Data Analyst in the Global Trading department at Wellington Management Company. With 5+ years of experience in a variety of areas within Trading, Sofia has most recently joined the Trading Data and Analytics team. Sofia performs trading research applicable to all areas of the investment process for the benefit of Wellingtons clients. When not playing with data, building Tableau dashboards or practicing coding, Sofia enjoys giving back to the community through the Wellington Management Foundation by supporting the mission of improving education and educational opportunities for economically disadvantaged youth. Sofia graduated in 2015 with an undergraduate degree in Economics and Finance from Bentley University.

As the Head of User Experience, Carolina works across strategy and design to articulate the overall vision, which usually means translating the future of technology into something anyone could understand and use. In prior roles, she was
part of one the largest UX teams at J.P. Morgan, consulted for UBS on one of
the earliest cross-asset investment banking platforms and worked in several
industries creating differentiated B2B and B2C experiences.

Based in New York, Gabriella Gambino is an Analytics Client
Services Analyst who assists clients with quarterly reporting and ad-hoc

ITG in 2016 as a Market Data Analyst prior to the firm’s acquisition by Virtu
Financial in 2019.

Christine Ma has 15+ years of experience in data analytics and currently leads the North America Client Support organization for Virtu Analytics. Her responsibilities include supporting client use of trade execution tools, providing consulting expertise and deep insights to empower clients’ trading processes towards better outcomes. Based in Toronto, Christine is also a member of Virtu’s Canadian Leadership team and her most memorable work has included collaboration with the portfolio trading desk on large global transitions.
Christine initially joined ITG as an intern many years ago – prior to the firm’s 2019 acquisition by Virtu Financial, and has held analyst, product, and relationship management roles. She holds a Bachelor of Mathematics in Operations Research from the University of Waterloo.

As the Global Product Manager for the Analytics Portal, Julie Green is responsible for product strategy, design and prioritization of features from legacy systems to the next generation of Virtu Analytics products and services.
Julie has 9+ years of experience in data analytics and spearheads the use of Tableau as a means of making data more accessible to all areas of the organization.
Recently, she has been a mentor to Cathedral High School students involved in the STEAM program, teaching them how to use Python. Based in Chicago, Julie is also a member of the Georgetown alumni interviewing committee.
Having initially joined ITG in 2011 – prior to the firm’s 2019 acquisition by Virtu Financial, Julie has held several roles as an analyst, product manager, as well as part of the client services team. She holds a Bachelor of Economics from Georgetown University.

Molly Humphreys is a current senior at MIT pursuing a major in Computer Science and Engineering and a minor in Data Science. She recently completed a six month internship at Virtu Financial where she did rotations on the Analytics and Crossborder/ETF desks. She is excited to be returning to Virtu for a role in Trading Operations next January. Molly loves the insights data can provide when used correctly and believes that a fundamental understanding of data is essential to living an examined life. She is also passionate about equity and this past summer she helped found and served as Vice President of Women on Wall Street, an organization that has helped mentor 70+ women in high school about potential careers in finance.
